» Feature Writer Laurie Pawlik-Kienlen - unconditional love?

Is there really such a thing as unconditional love? Psychologists and counselors are usually trained to have "unconditional positive regard" for their clients - so the client feels accepted and free to share anything.

But is unconditional love the same thing? Can you continue to love your child or spouse if they commit murder, rape, incest, torture, or continued battles with Iraq?
