Definitely, I agree. I only taught for 3 years, but I developed strong attachments to both boys and girls --- even without spending much time out of the classroom! Kindred spirits, perhaps. No sexual relationships though.

But I bet the illicit aspect of teacher-student sex is a major turn on for some people (depending on your view of the whole forbidden fruit thing).
