I've never had one -- how bad could they be?

(Actually, this is just a test of the hotlink from my panic disorder article to a live discussion. I want to see if it works! But if you have a comment about panic attacks, please feel free to share. Or if you want to discuss the discussions, I'm open to that too).

» pink101 - Tell Me About It

.
A strange malady.
.
My brother, sisters, and I have all experienced panic attacks and all at the same age in our experiences--around our mid-forties.
.
Attacks have been associated with menieres ear syndrome. In fact, many panic attack patients are treated for menieres.
.
I remember I had a strong sense of feeling like I was going to fall off the earth. And, it seemed like my heart was moving around in my chest. One of my sisters felt like she had to get right down on the ground and to hold on. My brother was counseled to take a slug of brandy and do some running exercises. In each of our cases, the symptoms lasted from time to time for a year or two and then disappeared. A sister and my brother are still concerned about return bouts. I think I figured it was middle life crisis. happy My case was mild.
.
It was no fun.

Did the panic attacks just go away by themselves?

Yup.
.
I remember one of the worst things about a panic attack was that you never knew when it was going to strike.
.
After long months and years, you kinda figure, well, that's the end of that.
.

Hmm...I'd have to concur with Pink's analysis. You want a baby! This seems very meaningful and important to you...I hope you see it come true soon.

Ever since I got married 1.5 years ago, I've had so many dreams of things happening right in our bedroom! Floods from the corner of the ceiling, fires outside, lamps falling, things hanging from the walls --- on and on. I talk in my sleep and wake hubby up, trying to deal with the crisis in our room. Last time was a couple weeks ago; he made me really mad because he was patronizing somehow, telling me not to be afraid.

Dreams are funny things.
