I agree -- you can better understand a person's opinion and perspective when you know where they're coming from (via their bio if you don't actually know them). In our cyber world, it's especially helpful to have SOME idea of who we are. I like the idea of bios, and I would read them too. It's not a matter of trust (plus if you were really distrustful, you could believe that even the bio is not truthful, right?) - it's more an issue of getting to know someone.

It's like asking what someone does for a living. I love that question because it gives me a sense of who they are, what their interess are, and what they DO all day long.

Funnily and ironically: yesterday I became a blogger for a travel website!! Isn't that a big kicker?! I blog for Vancouver -- here's my first one, on all you can eat sushi yum yum...
