Is it where we try hard to understand what is meant by:
"For the corresponding "live" discussions, post in the here." ABC

.
Right! Exactly.
.
Whatever happened to that?
.
I've never checked it out; but, is that what the Permalink is that is listed below?

Hmmm....let me do some investigatory work and see what the Permalink is (I only work here, I don't actually KNOW stuff).

"BTW...there was a time when one could start a conversation from an article via a hotlink."

I had this profound hope Laurie would re-instate it for her increasing number of articles.

I clicked on 'Permalink' and it hid all posts bar one. I was not brave enough to proceed as there is something permanent sounding about permalink and its already too non-user friendly to find my way back here. happy

I think you're right.

I wonder what problems are plaguing Suite101. It appears they are trying desparately to do something that just isn't going to happen.

That's not very positive, pink. Nor is it in line with the Law of Attraction!

Why am I in this writing vacuum??? I just don't get it. I AM thinking positively and sending good vibes and ... oh wait a minute. I haven't been working very hard lately because I'm waiting for publishers' responses....I have to get back to WORKING on my ideas.

blah blah blah it's always the same old story. Gotta work for stuff you want, what a pain.

What is a "writing vacuum" that you can use the idea to explain your present condition?
.
I never found that magazine while I was in Florida. Sorry, but I did look. Even so, I have to confess, it wasn't a number one priority. I went into a big Barnes and Noble and got lost. I talked to one of the librarian clerks. I went through all their travel magazines--none for Naples or Ft Meyers. I love to read.
.
Do you know what melatonin is? It's a natural dietary supplement that helps bring sleep. It also helps produce vivid dreams so it tends to explode ideas in our minds. There are no side effects. 3 mg one about a half hour before turning in.

» Feature Writer Laurie Pawlik-Kienlen - sleep like a baby!

In response to back to discouraged posted by pink101:

I LOVE my sleep! Since I'm a morning lark, I'm usually done for the day at 830 or 9 pm, and back up at 5:30 am ready to take on the world.

I'm just not doing something right, and I'm not sure what it is -- THAT'S the frustrating part. My queries may be going into cyberspace unread and unappreciated by publishers, or I'm aiming too high, or I have bad ideas. The problem is that I don't KNOW what's going on, why editors aren't responding.
-
I hate not knowing what I'm doing wrong because I can't deal with it.
-
Any natural dietary supplements for my condition?
