Procrastinating usually increases your stress level and decreases your immune system, as well as your general enjoyment of life. So why do you do it?

Procrastination is caused by several things: fear of success, fear of failure, wanting to be perfect, lack of motivation, anxiety, guilt, or a combination of it all.

The thing is, procrastinators usually don't perform as well as those who start early (though I had a universtiy roommate who excelled regardless of how much effort she put into her papers and studies - but she was definitely an exception with an IQ in the genius range). It's simply not fun to scramble at the last minute to accomplish your task, nor is it good for your health or relationships.

Christmas is a popular time to procrastinate, particularly with shopping for presents. Here are some ideas to get you going this Christmas season!
