Arroz has produced, styled and appeared on over 400 TV shows – mostly makeovers of some sort. Here, she offers her expertise as an image consultant, stylist and a woman who is taller and wears a larger size.

10 Ways to Enhance Your Physical Appeal from an Image Consultant

1. Check your posture. Stand up straight, keep your shoulders back and down, and pull your tummy in. You won’t believe what a difference this makes; you’ll increase your attractiveness because women who stand tall and don't hunch over look slimmer and more confident. By the way, this beauty advice is also good for your spine and core.

2. Exude confidence by smiling. Fake it till you make it! Watch your facial expressions in the mirror, and practice introducing yourself to others. Both men and women are attracted to confident women who smile. Everyone is shy at some point, but if you take the initiative and introduce yourself, you appear to be confident. Confidence is sexy and admired. People who smile are attractive because they appear pleasant.

3. Wear eye enhancing colors. Every season a new color palette is presented to us in retail. Each season introduce a color into your wardrobe in the form of a top, blouse, jacket, T-shirt. Eye enhancing colors keep others focused on your upper torso and face, which increases your attractiveness. Eye enhancing colors do exactly that – they bring out your eyes – which are very expressive and create an aura of animation, excitement and sparkle.

Specific ways to enhance your eyes:

  • For blue eyes - try shades of blue, green, lavender, plums, navy
  • For green eyes - try shades of green, blue/green, golds, warm tones
  • For brown eyes - try shades of lavender and purple, greens, and other bright colors.

4. Wear less makeup – or at least appear to wear less. Use a tinted moisturizer with SPF, a light dusting of mineral powder for additional coverage, lip liner and gloss, and a light light coat of mascara. Plus, this beauty advice from this image consultant is better for your skin pores.

5. Change your hair color. Adding some highlights to your hairstyle will lighten and brighten your face, which will increase your attractiveness. Additional beauty advice: try a new hairstyle!

6. Cut your hair into bangs, especially if you can cover up some forehead wrinkles. Bangs are youthful, and can be sexy and flirty. Linda’s beauty advice includes looking in magazines for inspiration. If you love your hairstyle, you’ve got one of the main qualities of a beautiful woman!

7. Show off your assets. If you have nice legs, wear skirts to highlight them. If you have varicose veins, try a self tanner and/or wear leggings or footless tights under a skirt. Choose a flattering neckline for your face shape, or enhance your gorgeous eyes. You’ll increase your physical appeal if you show off your best assets.

8. Get rid of the acrylics unless your nails are short. Long, thick acrylic nails are old school and dated. Keeping your nails short and using clear or pale sheer colors will increase your attractiveness. Your hands will look fresh, especially if they’re ropy or covered with age spots. Linda’s beauty advice includes keeping colors neutral.

9. Update your eyeglass frames or go for contacts. Contact lenses are now made for more types of eyes and eye issues. If, for example, you have astigmatism, you might do be able to use newer types of contact lenses. Tired old eyeglasses can decrease your physical appeal.

10. Be current on some area of the news. Whether it is popular culture (music, TV shows, celebrities) or history, have something to add to conversations that is interesting and can spark dialogue. Women who can talk about something besides other people, their jobs and families are perceived as smart – and smart is beautiful!
